Geopolitical data, statistics on the human population, Earth and more. The main kind of data you can find here is population statistics of regions, countries, provinces and cities. Next to that there are some statistics on economic factors like wealth, infrastructure; statistics on natural phenomena.

This site allows users to generate graphs based on numerical data extracted from the CIA Factbook and other sources. A central location that allows one to compare countries on any statistic necessary.

The Population Reference Bureau provides timely and objective information on US and international population trends and their implications.

The International Data Base (IDB) is a computerized data bank containing statistical tables of demographic, and socio-economic data for 227 countries and areas of the world.

This vast site provides users with the capability to browse, search, and map data from many Census Bureau sources: the 1990 Census, the 1997 Economic Census, the American Community Survey and the Census 2000 Dress Rehearsal. In early 2001, the data from Census 2000 will be available in American FactFinder.

Here, you can access free demographic reports by zip code and by TV Market area, as well as a variety of other ways. This site is also listed in the LII. You must register first.
Fedstats      http://www.fedstats.gov/  
Statistical information from more than 70 government agencies organized in a subject-based A-Z Index. There's a search engine that currently covers 28 agencies. Also organized by Agencies, Programs, and Regional Statistics (federal agencies that provide state, county and local area data).
Historical Census Browser       http://fisher.lib.virginia.edu/collections/stats/histcensus/
University of Virginia Library's interface enables focused data-gathering and comparisons of numbers drawn directly from historical volumes of the U.S. Census of Population and Housing.  Every decennial census is represented here, back to the first one of 1790.
StateMaster       http://www.statemaster.com/index.php 
Allows one to research and compare a multitude of different data on US states. Information is compiled from various primary sources such as the US Census Bureau, the FBI, and the National Center for Educational Statistics. StateMaster provides pie charts, maps, graphs and scatterplots. There are thousands of map and flag images, state profiles, and correlations.
